Key takeaways

  • Angapradakshinam tokens are booked online, first come first served, since February 2026.
  • Tokens release about three months ahead; recent quotas opened at 10 AM on the 23rd (December 2026 on 23 Sep 2026).
  • The lucky dip introduced in September 2025 was dropped after devotee feedback.
  • No tokens are issued for Fridays because of the early Friday Abhishekam.
  • Book only on TTD's official portal and follow the instructions printed on your token.

TTD angapradakshinam online booking now works on a first-come-first-served basis: tokens are released on TTD's official portal, ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in, about three months ahead. Recent quotas opened at 10 AM on the 23rd of the month; December 2026 tokens went live on 23 September 2026. No tokens are issued for Fridays.

The system changed twice in a few months. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) moved Angapradakshinam to a lucky dip in September 2025, then announced in November 2025 that first-come-first-served booking would return from February 2026. Many pages online still describe the dip, or mix in rules from a different temple. This guide sticks to TTD's own dated notices. It is written by an independent information site; we do not book tokens.

TTD angapradakshinam online booking: how it works now

Angapradakshinam is a vow in which a devotee rolls their body around the inner path of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple instead of walking it. TTD issues a limited number of tokens for it, and those tokens are booked online.

Under TTD's announcement of 7 November 2025, made after feedback from devotees, Angapradakshinam tokens are once again issued online on a first-come-first-served basis, in place of the lucky dip. That means there is no registration window and no draw: when the quota opens, the first devotees to complete their booking get the tokens. TTD's schedules for September and December 2026 both list Angapradakshinam as a fixed-time release, which is consistent with first-come-first-served booking still being in force.

Tokens are released roughly three months before the month in which you want to perform the seva. TTD's notices direct devotees to book only on ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in; TTD has also used tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in as an official booking site. Use whichever official TTD portal you normally use, and never pay a third party. For the other arjitha sevas and how their booking differs, see our TTD seva booking guide.

When the quota opens: the monthly release slot

There is no fixed angapradakshinam quota release date for every month. TTD publishes a release schedule for each quota month, a few days or weeks before it opens. For the last two quotas checked, Angapradakshinam came out at 10 AM on the 23rd, on the same day as the SRIVANI Trust darshan quota and the quota for senior citizens and the differently-abled.

December 202623 September 2026, 10 AMSRIVANI Trust darshan, 11 AM; senior citizens and differently-abled, 3 PM

The full week around a quota release is busy, because TTD staggers several quotas over a few days. The December 2026 schedule shows how it fits together:

24 Sep 2026, 10 AMSpecial Entry Darshan (Rs 300)
24 Sep 2026, 3 PMAccommodation

The September 2026 quota followed the same pattern, with the arjitha e-dip on 18 June, Angapradakshinam and SRIVANI on 23 June, Special Entry Darshan on 24 June at 10 AM and accommodation on 24 June at 3 PM.

As of 7 October 2026 we had not found TTD's schedule for the January 2027 quota. Do not assume the 23rd will repeat; TTD announces each month's dates shortly before release. Our TTD calendar 2026 tracks release dates as they are announced.

Lucky dip to first-come-first-served: what changed and when

Angapradakshinam has been booked online for years. In August 2022, TTD released the September quota online at 9 AM on 22 August; in February 2023, the March quota went online at 11 AM on 11 February. In 2025 the method changed twice.

Under the September 2025 lucky-dip announcement, TTD said 750 tokens would be issued daily except on Fridays, and 500 on Saturdays. It also extended the gap before a devotee could take part again from 90 days to 180 days, and kept the three-month advance window. Those numbers belonged to the angapradakshinam lucky dip, which lasted only a few months. TTD's first-come-first-served notices we read do not restate a daily token count or say whether the 180-day gap still applies, so check the terms shown on the portal when you book.

The practical difference is speed. Under the dip, a devotee could register at any time within the window and wait for the result. Under first-come-first-served booking, being ready at the exact release time matters most.

Why there are no Angapradakshinam tokens on Fridays

TTD stopped issuing Angapradakshinam tickets for Fridays because the Friday Abhishekam to the deity begins by 4:00 AM, and there is no darshan facility on Fridays for devotees performing Angapradakshinam. The 2025 dip notice repeated the same exception ("except on Fridays"). If your trip includes a Friday, plan the seva for another day of the week.

What Angapradakshinam is and where it is done

Inside Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, a circumambulation path called the Vimana Pradakshina runs around the sanctum. According to Wikipedia's article on the temple, the Angapradakshina Seva is performed in this area, which is why the path is also called the Angapradakshina Margam. The temple tank, Swami Pushkarini, lies beside the temple.

The seva is a personal vow. Because rules about reporting, clothing and preparation can change, and because many details online are unsourced, this guide does not list them. Your token and TTD's site are the only reliable source for the instructions that apply to your date.

Booking on the official portal: a checklist

Under first-come-first-served booking, Angapradakshinam tokens online can go quickly, so the work happens before 10 AM. A simple checklist:

  • Log in early. Have your account on TTD's official portal ready and signed in a few minutes before the release time.
  • Know your date. Pick the date you want and a back-up, and remember there are no Friday tokens.
  • Keep ID details ready. Have the photo ID details for each devotee you are booking for close at hand, exactly as they appear on the card.
  • Pay promptly. Keep your payment method ready so the booking does not time out.
  • Download the token. Save and print the confirmation as soon as it is issued, and read every instruction on it.
  • Use only official sites. TTD's notices say to book only on its official website. Agents and unofficial apps are not part of the process.

One more check: make sure you are booking the right temple. The Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor, near Tirupati, issues its own Angapradakshinam tokens under its own rules. Several popular pages describe Tiruchanoor's tokens; they are not the same as the Tirumala tokens on this page.

If you miss the Angapradakshinam quota

First-come-first-served quotas can close fast, and missing one is common. A few options remain, all through TTD's official portal:

  • Try the next quota month. Watch for TTD's next release schedule and be ready at 10 AM on the announced day.
  • Look at the other quotas released the same week. In the December 2026 schedule, SRIVANI Trust darshan opened an hour after Angapradakshinam, the senior citizens and differently-abled quota at 3 PM, and Special Entry Darshan (Rs 300) the next morning at 10 AM. These are darshan options, not Angapradakshinam, but they still get you into the temple on your travel dates.
  • Consider the arjitha sevas. Sevas such as Kalyanotsavam have their own quota and, for some sevas, an electronic dip with a registration window, which suits devotees who cannot be online at an exact minute.
  • Avoid anyone selling tokens. Tokens bought through agents or unofficial sites are not part of TTD's process.

On the day: follow your token

Everything about the day itself, including reporting time, reporting place, dress, ID checks and what you may carry, should come from your token and TTD's site, not from blogs or forum posts. If you are unsure what counts as traditional dress for temple sevas, our Tirumala temple dress code guide covers TTD's general dress expectations. Arrive with time to spare and keep the printed token and original ID with you.

Set a reminder for TTD's next quota announcement and book only on the official portal. Our TTD seva booking guide covers the other sevas released the same week.

Frequently asked questions

When are TTD Angapradakshinam tokens released online?

About three months ahead of the seva month. The September 2026 quota opened at 10 AM on 23 June 2026 and the December 2026 quota at 10 AM on 23 September 2026. TTD announces each month's date shortly before release, so check its notices.

Is Angapradakshinam booking a lucky dip or first come first serve?

First come first served. TTD switched to a lucky dip in September 2025, then announced on 7 November 2025 that first-come-first-served online booking would return from February 2026. The 2026 quotas were released at fixed times.

Can I do Angapradakshinam at Tirumala on a Friday?

No. TTD does not issue Angapradakshinam tickets for Fridays, because the Friday Abhishekam begins by 4:00 AM and there is no darshan facility for Angapradakshinam devotees that day.

Where do I book Angapradakshinam tokens?

Only on TTD's official portal. TTD's notices name ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in; tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in is also a TTD booking site. Do not pay agents.

How far in advance can Angapradakshinam be booked?

Tokens are released about three months before the month of the seva. For example, December 2026 tokens were released on 23 September 2026.

Is Angapradakshinam at Tiruchanoor the same as at Tirumala?

No. The Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor issues its own tokens under its own rules. Information about Tiruchanoor tokens does not apply to Tirumala.
